VERY Helpful List - employers who are infertilty friendly
Thanks for posting this list - I was checking the site to see if anybody had posted it yet or recently and if they hadn't, I was going to.
I'm just about finished with my infertility journey but if I were at my beginning I would definitely switch jobs to find a company what was infertility friendly. I would even go so far as to switch jobs after maxing out my infertility treatments.
I'm surprised more people don't consider this since so many people are limited by what their current insurance (and remember - this isn't really the insurance company but what your employer has agreed to cover) will cover.
I'd definitely move to an infertility friendly state with laws mandating coverage like NY or NJ.
Don't feel like you're going crazy because you're thinking about uprooting yourself in order to pursue your dreams of having a family on your own. You owe it to yourself to try everything you can (as long as you want to).
Whenever I wonder if it was all worth it, I figure I'll ask my girls in about 25 years when they're contemplating children of their own. If I'm around!
