That wasn't the case for me. I didn't start feeling them move and knowing it without a doubt until I was about 19 weeks. I assumed the same thing but it didn't work that way for me.

Saw heartbeats, Baby A was 109, Baby B was 111

Presley Ann and Avery Kate were born March 10th at 34 weeks dues to pre-eclampsia. We are at home and doing well!
