Hi Jilly -

I'm sorry to hear about your news. It's hard not knowing what's going and what your chances of pregnancy are. We are still in the waiting game too...just found out 3 weeks ago from dh semen analysis that he had 0 sperm. We have our first appointment with a urologist next week. I'm wondering if, since your husband is the one with the issue, if you should make an appointment with a urologist, rather than going to the OB/GYN? They'd probably best be able to determine if there is something causing the low numbers, like a hormonal imbalance, blockage or a varicocele (which as I understand it is like a varicose vein in the testicle that puts off heat and kills sperm). There are a lot of different causes for low numbers, but I know there are procedures that offer us (with 0 sperm) some hope, so I imagine there'd be something, whether it be surgery, an IUI or even in vitro with ICSI, that could help you and your dh in your situation. I wish you the best...but maybe try and find a urologist in your area that specializes in infertility. Good luck!
