11 DPER is a little early to expect a positive HPT, so I wouldn't count yourself out by any means. And yes, the brown spotting could be a very good sign! It's not too late at all - I had it with both my pregnancies (the chemical and then this one) starting the evening of 8 DPER and continuing on well past beta.
