I've been through 3 cycles of IVF (1 fresh and 2 FET)
I didn't have any spotting with my fresh IVF cylce (eneded in BFN) or with my 1st FET (chemical pregnancy). I did however have brown spotting with my 2nd FET which was NOT normal for me because I had never spotted before....I did get a BFP with that cycle but had an early m/c...I think the brown spotting has the potential to be a very good thing.
