Anyway...I was wondering if anyone may have had this procedure and how the recovery was. I will be having a balloon catheter for a week, and I am also concerned how that is going to feel.

It's definitely been a help to read all of the posts on this forum to get better educated, since I've now graduated from the IUI to IVF board!

Thanks is advance!!

Hi Colleen,

I had the exact same procedure done for a small septum. Recovery was pretty quick, just crampy day of and until they removed the balloon. I actually had two hysteroscopies, 1 for a septum and 1 for polyps. I had a balloon catheter left in both times. The removal for the first one was slightly painful for like 10 seconds while it was being removed. The second removal was no big deal at all. Didn't even feel it. Having the balloon in wasn't really a big deal but I was crampy off/on.

Good luck & hope this info helps you
