I met with a therapist from my clinic to discuss the DE process. One thing she said that really hit home for me was when she said I may mourn the loss of my own fertility. I really think that has been the biggest challenge for me.
I also know that after having a miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat I really fell more in like with the idea of DE and started feeling that having a baby was far more important than having my own genetic baby. I say "like" not "love" because I still don't know what I'm doing but I have started feeling out the idea.
Good luck in your own IVF pursuits though.
