Jen - is it ovidrel you will be using? it is given one inch away from the belly button. lightly pinch a piece of skin, and do the shot. it does not go into the muscle! i gave myself only 1 of the 4 shots i had, and no problems. it should not hurt much and should not bruise. i was nervous and it made me woozy doing it myself, but i did it!
i am glad your doc had "the talk" with you. triplets and then some do happen from clomid/iui's. usually unmonitored ones, but there is a small small small chance. there is also a thread somewhere on this forum about selective reducing. i am excited for you! three great follies, i know THE ONE will be there! good luck with your shot. i am a wimp, and if i could do it, you certainly can! this video is very helpful. now if you are taking a different type that is supposed to be given in the buttocks or thigh and deeper than ovidrel - do not follow the video!
