So sorry to hear what happened and your predicament - I am in the same boat as you. I started having contractions a little over a week ago and spent 3 nights in the hospital while they monitored them and gave me meds. They kept me a little longer than I think they normally do because apparently my cervix is now a little shorter than they would like - and which is why I am now on bedrest until close to 34 weeks (I think), if my little guy can keep cooking until then. I was supposed to have a shower last weekend that was out of town, and it got cancelled. I was horribly upset. I am supposed to have one this Saturday that is a little ways from my house, and my doctor said I could go there as long as I laid on the sofa the entire time. I know you wouldn't want to do anything to endanger your little ones, but you might want to ask your OB if that would be ok. I am going to see my OB tomorrow and am so worried my cervix will be shorter or dilated and she will send me back to the hospital. My friends and family have all promised that the shower will still happen, even if they have to bring it to me
If you can't leave your house, I would definitely ask if they can come to you. I know its likely not ideal and not what you wanted, but I think you would be surprised at how people pull through in times like these. Hope things get better for you!
