Do you mind me asking, did the contractions feel like braxton-hicks or were they different? Were they painful? How did you know to go to the ER? I'm getting B-H all the time and always worried that I won't know to go to the ER when I should. It's so good that you knew to go and they were able to stop it in time.

They started coming more frequently today. It didn't really hurt, but it felt like tightening, and it was more uncomfortable then painful. I got worried because I could feel them frequently (like 4-5 in 30 minutes). I called my doc to see if I should be concerned, and they sent me to labor and delivery. I was hesitant to call at first because I thought maybe the babies were just moving or doing flips or something, but it was too often, and it was getting really tight. I'm so glad I went, and now I know what they feel like.
Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I'm more concerned about the babies then the baby shower (of course), but I'm also disappointed. The baby shower was going to be a BBQ at my friend's house right down around the corner, so it's not out of the question for it to be moved up here. The doc said if I haven't had any contractions that day, then I could go for one hour if I stay seated or laying down. I just want the boys to be safe and sound in there as long as possible.
They also said my cervix is closed, but starting to soften.
