Courage to try again after first failed IVF
I recently completed my first IVF cycle. Everything seemed like it was going well: 12 eggs retrieved, 9 fertilized with ICSI, 2 transferred on day 5 and 6 frozen on day 6. However, this ended in a chemical pregnancy.
I've lurked on this board for the last three weeks, looking for inspiration as I went through the process (love hearing the success stories!)...but not posting.
Now I just want to know--after you've suffered a loss, what do you do to prepare yourself emotionally to try again? We will probably not attempt a FET for a couple months, but that is fine with me. I am too scared of going through the same thing again. I want my head to be in the right place when we give it another go...what did you do to prepare after a first failed IVF attempt? Any advice appreciated.
