I'm new to this forum, but I'm so glad I've found it. I've got a great one too. My brother and his girlfriend have had this on-again/off-again relationship for several years and had broken up when he went to Germany for several months for work. Well, he got back, they got together, and during several weeks of drunken partying, she got pregnant. It wouldn't even be so bad if she was "mom" material, but she's not. Now, all she can do is plaster stuff about "the joy of being a mother" when she and my brother both know that we're having trouble getting pg. They don't own a home, they don't have a stable relationship, and its just not fair that they have a child, when I'm struggling.
And here's the best part. She told my Aunt the other day that she's already decided which family member will pay for each set of pictures for her son because SHE wants a monthly set of professional portraits and can't afford to pay for it. So she thinks we are going to pay for it!! How's that for having a set of brass ones?
She won't even let us see him when she comes up to visit. She will usually call about 20 minutes before they leave to go back home and say, "If you want to see him you better get up here!" And we are expected to drop everything and do what she says!
Sorry for the gripe session, but sometimes this situation just KILLS ME!!
