back at it
Hi. My name is Nicole. I am 30 years old and TTC baby #2. Back in 2003, my DH and I got married and started TTC right away. I had been diagnosed with PCOS in the past, so we knew it might take a while to get pg. We ended up doing 10 months of Clomid, 3 of them w/IUI. We went through all of the routine tests (SA, HSG, etc.)
After 10 months of Clomid, I was a wreck; it made me crazy. All the while, my SIL gets pregnant with her second child while still on her birth control patch. (Why is it that when you're TTC, everyone has to tell you just how easy it is for them?) After the Clomid, my DH and I decided to take a break.
After about 6 months, a new Infertility Clinic opened in our small town (the other one was 1 hour away.) We took that as a sign and decided to try again. The RE decided it was time for injectibles. We did 1 round of Follistim, no IUI, and got pregnant! We had a beautiful beby boy March of 2006.
So, here we are. Our son is 2 1/2 years old and we're ready for another one. Back in the spring of 08, I was having a ton of pain. I ended up having a laparoscopy and they found tons of scar tissue throughout my pelvic region (most likely from my c-section.) My DH and I recently saw a world-renowned uterine/tubal reconstructionist who gave us his opinion. He thinks everything looks okay now and that we can go ahead and TTC again. There's just a minimal risk of ectopic.
So we spoke to my RE and we're going to try a couple months on this newer medicine, Letrozole. Anyone with any thoughts on it??? OH....and of course, now that we're going back to infertility treatments...guess who's pregnant? My SIL again!!! She had just recently said she wasn't going to have another one and wanted her tubes tied. But she and my MIL just had to point out that she got pregnant anyway, without even trying. It's just so easy for some people, isn't it??
Hope everyone's dreams come true!!
