My dr. prescribed the metformin as a "what the heck, let's try it" sort of thing. My insulin level is on the border of being slightly high. However, I have been too chicken to try taking it just yet. I get sick to my stomach easily and I am a teacher so I can't really risk it.
pumkin.pie-I too, feel like I may be on the "wrong track" as it seems like many thin women with PCOS don't have success with Clomid. I feel like I have other issues though besides ovulation...My husband's SA came back as 1% morphology but with a really high count. And..I have lots of mid-cycle spotting (my whole life), so I am not sure what that's from...
I feel like I have been to the dr. so many times and never get answers. It's depressing.
