How we paid for IVF

My fertility clinic is one of the few clinics in my state that participates in a Shared-Risk program. We purchased a plan through IntegraMed that will allow us to have 3 fresh cycles and 3 frozen cycles for IVF. We paid about $25,000 and that fee doesn't include meds. What it does include is piece of mind through each failed cycle that we can try again, without the added stress of "finding" more money. If we complete the 6 cycles that we paid for and don't bring home a baby from the hospital, we get 70% of our money back.

Infertility and IVF can cause huge financial stress, I have to say our financial choice of choosing a shared risk program is that we can continue with each cycle without added stress.
