I had multiple uterine polyps last spring and my RE required me to have them removed before I could qualify for his shared risk plan. When I saw my OB-GYN about doing the polypectomy, he asked me several times if I wanted the surgery because most polyps smaller than 10mm diameter expel on their own. Sure enough, when he got in there with a scope for the surgery the following week, they were all gone already.

I didn't take any medication for it, nor do I have any idea if I had polyps any other time before that. I didn't have the bleeding issues you mention, though my periods have always been very heavy. My point is that some women just have polyps and sometimes they go away by themselves and can also come back at any time.
