First of all, congratulations on your amazing weight loss so far!!! What a wonderful accomplishment!

I am about 30 pounds overweight & my weight has yo-yo'd all over the place my whole adult life. Everything I have read, though, says that it is better for you and the baby if you are in your ideal weight range before you get pregnant. I wish I had been thinner when I got pregnant. I worry a lot about the increased risk of miscarriage, gestational diabetes, etc. with being so overweight.

My fertility clinic told me that they do not accept egg donors with a BMI over 30, so that also tells me something. As far a s getting pregnant, being overweight causes hormonal shifts and imbalances that make it harder to get pregnant.

I think you have done an amazing thing so far, though... You should be so proud of yourself. I hope you are able to get pregnant soon!
