I am sorry you are going through this. I probably wouldn't lie and say you aren't trying anymore. Maybe you could just tell them you don't want to talk about it because it stressful or something like that. It's hard dealing with work and ttc. My manager at work is the only one who knows I am actively trying and so far she has been very supportive and sensitive. She does not ask me for updates and I don't offer them.
