Your case could be as simple as your RE wanting to have more control over your cycle. I'm like you too, I don't ask a whole lot of questions, they know what they're doing. At the time of my trigger (Ovidrel) I had one follicle at 18.5 m (which was the dominate) and several smaller ones, measuring 12 m and smaller. All this was on my right and nothing on my left.
I'm trying to stay positive, but honestly it's hard for me to have hope being I only had one dominate follicle and 6 million count after the wash-shame on me for thinking this but I feel if I stay low keel about the whole thing the dissapointment won't be as bad. These 2 weeks are pure torcher! DH and I discussed it again and if this cycle doesn't work next cycle we're doing back-to-back IUI's, meaning one and then coming in the next day for the other. I tried to tell him when we were ordering our sperm that our clinic recommends two back-to-back and he said then he didn't understand and now he does-geeeeees.
What CD are you on now? When is your scheduled IUI? and to you too! I will be curious to see what your count is when you do your IUI. We've used the same bank and I had 6 million after wash. Xytex guarentees 15 million if I'm not mistaken (will do some research) but not sure if they guarentee anything since my center did the wash. Did you order washed or unwashed? We did unwashed because it would have to be washed at the clinic anyway-I didn't want to risk lower quality being double washed.

lisa-kev,
I know!!!! The two week wait is the worst!! Try to keep positive...it only takes one great egg!!! I already feel like it's not going to work and am so depressed lately. I have such a hard time staying positive after going through IVF and I was so sure it was gonna work and it didn't. I always thought I was a stong person but this can make you so weak! I was looking at IUI success stories on this board, if you haven't you should check it out! Some people got pregnant with 99 million sperm count, and some of 1 million. It's so hard to know. Did you pay the extra $30 for the best count from your donor? We did but like I said he only had 3 vials so who knows what it will be. I am very surprised that it was only 6 million. I am going to look on the website and see what they garantee. I also got unwashed because my clinic washes it also. If they have a garantee on the count and it was lower, I would for sure be on them about my next sample being free. But you don't have to worry about that, it will happen this time!! My clinic didn't mention doing back to back samples, I might try to do the same next time if it doesn't work. My husband would have understood that either. He was already dying that it was so expensive for one sample. I go in tomorrow to check my progress. They upped my dose of meds so we will see! Estimated at the beginning I would have my insemination Thursday of this week. I think it will be Friday or Sat though. How long after you took ovadril did you go in? I will check back with you tomorrow and let you know where I am at! Stay strong and try to be positive...and keep busy!!
