Smile Hi Everyone!

I just found this thread. I have been reading / posting in the May IVF thread. I too am experiencing secondary infertility - and for no reason that they can find!

We basically started trying right after our daughter (2 months to conceive!) was born on 9-11-06 since I was 36, he was 35 and we wanted our children close together. Nothing for the last 2.5 years. We tried about 6-7 months of clomid and clomid/gonal-F. No luck. Now we are trying IVF. Bascially this is our one shot - unless we get embabies to freeze! We cannot afford it again and will have used up our lifetime max's on the insurance with this one try.

My hubby's tests are perfect - and mine are all great too! I have endo and have had lots of surgeries on my abdomen for endo and other things.. so they think maybe baby parts out of alignment due to scar tissue and adhesions (which I get a lot of!) - but without surgery they cannot prove really. Tubes are open, no cysts, polyps, etc - all hormone levels good, etc.

So we decided to take me out of the equation - and do IVF. I am it works. My egg retrieval should be this week sometime - not scheduled yet - but they only give you 36 hours notice... so plenty of time.

So I just wanted to say hi!

_________________________________________

Me -38 - endo, myomectomy, unexplained IF
DH - 38 - normal everything ( relative to baby making!)

Have one beautiful daughter, Sienna Rain, 2.5 years old - conceived naturally

Our furbabies - 3 dogs (Cujo, Leif, Ruby) and 5 cats (Spooky, Sammy, Squeekie, Sabre, and Sully)

TTC since 12/06 (basically 3 months after Sienna born)
Tried Clomid cycles - early spring and summer 08
Tried Clomid / Gonal F cycle Nov 08
Waited to take more action until after 1/09 because of starting new insurance plan

Me - bariatric surgery 01, lapro surgeries for endo - 5 of them, myomectomy, csection, tummy tuck, and obstructed bowel 3-08 - so a lot of opening to my abdominal cavity - I am very prone to adhesions - so doc thinks (without proving it = surgery) the baby parts could be out of alignment and eggs are never meeting the sperm normally

So, IVF is our best option at this time to make sure the needed parts meet up and get where they need to be

Constraint - I want to carry a baby / babies for my sister who cannot carry a child ASAP - but the plan was for me to have another one first... and she is 37 - so we want to do this as fast as possible!!
