DH and I are not giving up as of yet. He told me the other night he's "in this to win it". We're casually discussing IVF further. Not sure what our next step will be. Shady Grove has the shared-risk program (aprox. $20,000 for 6 cycles). However if we chose the shared-risk then it's $20,000 + meds + donor sperm out of pocket using no insurance. One cycle costs about $9500 and if we used insurance and they authorized a cycle, we'd be out half of that, $4750. It's just so sick! I'd hate to think we'd (potentially) spend upwards of $10,000 on IUI's with no success. The rate we're going, it won't take long.

My step-mom is an RN and she mentioned she had a patient yesterday who was all of 12 years old and had a baby.

I'm all for doing a cycle of IVF but have to have DH on board 100%. It's all so overwhelming and I can't discuss with my RE or nurse until Monday.

Oh hon, I am so sorry about your bfn I can't believe it!!! It is not over until ugly *** aunt flo shows up. But I understand what you are going through {{{{{{BIG HUGS}}}}}}}
As far as IVF, if you do deside to do it, I would do the shared risk program, definatly. I say that because I was so confident that it would work the first time being the odds were about 60-70% and didn't plan ahead if it didn't work! The idea of being able to know you can just jump on the ban wagon and do it again would be comforting. I KNOW you will get from IVF!! Your chances are SO much greater than IUI. Because you are using donor sperm that would put you in the 70% range! I understand the financial aspect of it though too. Ouch! The whole cycle is very much like IUI exept of them taking the eggs out and puting them back in. Which to be honest is very simple and same discomfort as IUI. So I would say go for it if DH is on board and you can finantially do it! That is a great saying "I am in it to win it" What a awesome husband you have!! You are very lucky! That is the right attitude about it too!!
I am still for you this cycle, and am always here if you need someone to talk too.
