I know that an SA is $100 or so typically, but unless that is outside your budget, it is so easy and will give you more information, reliable information (no guessing if it's accurate), than a home male fertility test. I got tested early, after only 6 months of TTC (for work reasons and close friends who had severe male factor infertility), and guess what---I've got severe male factor infertility. We are so glad we didn't wait for 1 or 2 years of TTC before doing one of the easiest, and comparatively cheapest, fertility tests--the SA.
And, if your home male fertility test is abnormal, you will certainly be getting a regular SA done at the lab anyway.
I hope everything works out!!
