My ob/gyn and my perinatologist have told me that the new standard for folic acid in pregnancy is 4-5mg per day. It has been discovered that folic acid not only prevents nural tube defects but also prevents childhood cancer. Best of luck. Also, with the heparin...My hematologist has said that APS causes disordered implantation, often leading a doctor to label a pregnancy as chemical. Heparin keeps your blood from clotting during implantation and in the placenta where your babies oxygen and nutrients will be coming from. Heparin worked for me, the only two times I have carried a pregnancy to term after being pregnant eight times.
