Metformin is for insulin resistance (usually) which is often a symptom of PCOS. It should help regulate your hormones and for some women with PCOS, will regulate your cycle too. The Clomid is to help you grow follicles, one or more of which will release an egg when you ovulate. These 2 meds are pretty standard as a beginning treatment for PCOS-related infertility.
