I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but the usual protocol with my doctor was to trigger on whatever day (this was not a transfer or IUI) and follow up 1 week later with another trigger shot. The purpose of the second shot was not to ovulate anything, but to cause your body to keep the hormone levels high to support a pregnancy, if there was one starting. Maybe this is what the goal is here? I would think that the HSG would still be in your system one week later, but maybe not at these low levels? I would ask some questions. You'll feel better with real answers from your doctor.

5/29/09: 2nd ultrasound - all is well
