Dear mom2bentexas: Selecting a donor is one of the most wonderful experiences I ever had. However, you have to be ready to accept it, and find joy and hope on it. If you do decide to go this route, make sure to take your time, and don't go crazy looking for someone who looks exactly like you or DH. There is A LOT of information, and donor database outthere.
First, I selected to work with an agency in which the same person, the director, always called me back. Then I selected a young donor within her pool. You have to have a connection with the donor. You will know if you do. Jut listen to your gut, and take your time. There are about 20 women or so going through DE IVF right now. Some of them can tell your their experiences as well.

The process was about $35,000 for me. But, I live in the East Coast,. Everything is soo expensive. I hope this helps!
