OK - Since it appears I am not the only person new to IVF – I thought I would post this in case anyone else was struggling like I was! It's taking me a minute to understand what all the acronyms mean! (I finally just gave up and did a search on the internet! LOL!!!) This is what I found!
2WW = two-week wait
AF = Aunt Flo (menstrual period)
BCP = birth control pill
BD = baby dancing (sexual intercourse)
BFP = big fat positive (pregnancy test result)
BFN = big fat negative (pregnancy test result)
CD = cycle day
CM = cervical mucus
DB = dear boyfriend
DD = darling daughter
DF = dear fiancé
DH = dear husband
DS = dear son
DW = dear wife
ER = egg retrieval
ET = egg transfer
FET = frozen embryo transfer
HCG = human chorionic gonadotropin (pregnancy hormone)
HPT = home pregnancy test
HSG = hysterosalpingogram
ICSI = microfertilization
IF = infertility
LMAO = laughing my [butt] off
LOL = laughing out loud
MIL = mother-in-law
MC = miscarriage (We won’t need to know this one!!!! Thinking positive over here!!!)
MS = morning sickness
PCOS = polycystic ovarian syndrome
SAHM = stay at home mom
SO = significant other
TTC = trying to conceive
US = ultrasound

9/5 - (16dp5dt) 1st Beta: 1,222 
9/8 - (19dp5dt) 2nd Beta: 2,842
9/15 - 1st Ultrasound (at 6 weeks and 3 days) -  Detected a heartbeat!!!
9/22 - 2nd Ultrasound (at 7 weeks and 3 days) - Baby is growing and we detected a heartbeat of 167!
10/22 - 3rd Ultrasound (at 11 weeks and 5 days) - All is well and the baby is REALLY active! The nurse thinks its a BOY!!!!
