DH and I married for 14 yrs. TTC for the last 6-8, on and off. I was diagnosed with PCOS and he's got low count/motility. He had varocele surgery to correct count issues, didn't work. He contracted sepsis after the surgery and spent 1 week in the hospital. My second IVF was hyperstimmed and spent a week in the hospital. After 2 failed frozen cycles from that 2nd IVF, we're done. D.O.N.E. I've got permenant numb spots on my hips and dh refuses to stick me again with a needle. Oh yea, and our insurance coverage cap of 20K was reached so the clinic wants 6,000 up front before another cycle. We SO don't have 6K to drop on another risky IVF.

We're very interested in adoption at this point, however I'm scared that won't happen either. I am very hesitant about adopting an older child, so told dh it has to be an infant. I need the 'baby' experience, even if I can't be pregnant. This means domestic infant adoption, or international adoption of as young an infant as possible. These options are expensive. If we don't have 6K to spend on IVF, we sure as heck don't have 20K to hand over to an agency for an infant. I'm absolutely against foster care. Way too many horror stories of friends and family. And I know I get attached easily. Foster care would be a disaster waiting to happen.

I'm beginning to believe the only way we'll be parents is to win the lottery or inherit a ton of cash from family. It's sad to think that way, but true. And I don't want a huge family, bio or adopted. One baby would be enough. Is there any hope for us? Advise would be appreciated.
