When we were looking into fertility treatments...

our doctor advised me to lose weight, saying it could help, but didn't refrain from going ahead and offering treatment.

We stopped taking Clomid after just a few months, and decided to adopt our first child.

Now I have been trying to get healthy in preperation for being a mom, and I have lost about 15 pounds (very slowly, haven't started exercising yet) through a popular weight-loss program.

I have managed to get pregnant (surprise!), although it seems like it will end in early miscarriage, but I did want to say I did not realize that little bit of weight loss might kick my ovulation back in...!

But I have to say, when you are starting fertility treatments, and you are all anxious and depressed (plus hormones can make you gain weight anyway, right?) I can't think of a worse time to be advised to lose weight! Like I hadn't been trying before you told me that, doc!
