Welcome Theresa, you've come to the right place. This is a forum for anyone going through Infertility whether you are just beginning or have been in it for years. It may seem like things are taking a while now but know that the best thing to do is have the full work up done, then you are better equipped with answers regarding your struggle and it will allow the doctor the best picture to look towards your options. I agree that it seems unfair, I've said the very same thing many times over but in the end I have no control over it, God does. So I just have to trust that He's in control.
