I want to share my story with you. I suffer also from PCOS sever, during one exam they told me I could be the poster child for PCOS. Anyway...i tried for 8 years to get pregnant going from doctor to doctor and all they could offer me was higer doses of clomid, which was not working. I changed employers and chose Kaiser coverage not because what they offered just that the cost of health insurance was cheaper. Anyway i started seeing an OBGYN doc and started telling her I want to get pregnant. So she started me on Clomid again!! Let me tell you I thought that no one was going to listen to me. By some miracle I got pregnant but 2 month later misscarried it. I was devistated..So i went back to my doctor and she finally decided to refer me to Kaiser in Sacramento, They have an infertility clinic there. So i went having hope again. (Sorry this is getting to be long winded) So i went But i had another obsticale to hurdle...I found out I was diabetic ontop of PCOS!! WHAT ELSE COULD STAND IN MY WAY!!! But I kept my hopes and prayers going! I went through all the information classes they offer and I had to get my sugars in check and finally finally i was able to start the infertility process. It was a strain on me, my marriage, and my faith, but i kept hopes and prayers up. Finally after a year of doing the injections and exams each and every month I got pregnant! But not with some kind of complications....They said I was pregnant with 2 but were the complications came in - I started bleeding heavy and thought that i was going to loose this pregnancy again! well i did but didnt. I lost one but through Gods and doctors care one was saved. I am happy to say I HAVE my baby girl! well here i am 2 1/2 years later and i want another baby. Unfortunately I cant get pregnant the natural way so I have to go through the process of seeing the Doctors at Kaiser in Sacramento again. So I had my HSG exam yesterday and they told me I have one tube blocked...so again i find myself being a diabetic, PCOS and one tube blocked and 37yrs old! I havent started crying yet but the feeling is there. I have a doctors appointment in next week to review all my exams and find out the results and hopefully they will tell me I can still go through the process.
So I guess what im trying to say is dont loose hope even though the feeling is so overwhelming...My prayers are with you all. And spouses be there for your wife when times get rough, because they will need you to be strong and give them that sholder to cry on!! Tell them how much you love them and that they mean the world to you!! ~~~~~~~~ LU
