My doctor informed us that by the time you detect your surge on an opk it is too late (most of the time). She advised to BD from cycle day 5 or 6 till cycle day 16-17. She also said that a man with normal sperm can BD every day without effecting their "fertility". I got pregnant on a cycle where the opks went haywire but we started BD on like day 6 through 12 and DH injured himself on day 13 so I thought the cycle was a bust but as you can see from my sig it worked. My dr explained that because we BD early the sperm were waiting for the egg as soon as it hit the falopian tube and she says that is the best bet! Good Luck to you both!
