Sorry your dad said that. How odd. He wants his son to date a lady with a child so he has a "little one" to play with? I would suggest getting your dad a puppy for christmas, to satisfy his desire to have a "little one" to play with. I would give you a hug if I could, and we would then have a good laugh over it! Some men just do not say the right thing, ever! He may be hurting for you and not know how to express it. Or it could be the complete oposite, he is an inconsiderate toot! Better to assume he cannot express himself and did not mean to hurt your feelings.
Hang in there, and do not allow your feelings of happiness or sadness be dictated by a silly comment!
