There is hope!
Hi,
First, I would like to apologize for My English, I'm a French canadian. I'm 43 and the blessed mother of 4. I had an osteosarcoma at the age of 15 (1980) and they had to amputate my left leg above my knee. I had metastasis in my lungs and was not supposed to survive more than 4-6 months. Back in 1980, my case was very desperate and I had very aggressive chemo treatments for 2 years every 3 weeks. It has been a real nightmare. Because of the highly toxic side effects of the treatments, I was not supposed to have a child on my own, but for the doctors, it was not a problem because I was not even supposed to survive!! But I did! So, we adopted our first child in China (13 years ago). I also have been diagnosed with severe endo and retroverted uterus 15 years ago (lap + Zoladex for 6 mths). In spite of all this, I have been blessed by three miraculous natural pregnancies.
Our youngest child is 16 months. Rebecca is our little angel and she brings us so much joy and love. I am still breastfeeding her 2 times a day. We would really like to have another child and are trying for 8 months now but we know that at our age, it will be difficult. My husband and I have been tested and everything seems okay, my FSH was 7. I just started my first Clomid cycle March 2nd (day 5-9) and an IUI will be performed next week. We are very positive and confident that it may help us to conceive.
Yes, miracles do happen! In fact, I am one of them! Hold on to your dreams and never forget, that you are a lot more than statistics. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. The best of luck to everyone and a for this month!
