Helloo All

My name is Joni, I am 31 yrs old (well at least for a couple more months, may they move slowly ) I'm from South Africa and belong to a couple of forums!

My DH (Jaco) and I will be married for 5 years in September and we have been TTC for 4.5 years now! After all these years of my Gynae saying "patience it will happen", we've made an appointment to see a Fertility Specialist.

I just don't understand why my Gynae who I've been with for 7 years now, who diagnosed my PCOS (including anovulation & insulin resistance), knew about my Endo and thyroid issues, only late last year decided it was time for a specialist, we then we decided that because we were going to start fertility treatment in January we weren't going to bother trying in December but somehow we conceived in December (we didn't try when I would have "normally" ovulated - so go figure) and I found out just after Christmas I was 6 weeks preggies, unfortunately a scan revealed nothing in the uterus and an ectopic was suspected. I had a lap (my endo is also back and very very bad) on the 2nd of Jan and a D&C on the 4th.

After years of trying it happened by accident but I fell in love with the thought immediately, unfortunately I was devastated at the loss.

However I am now more determined to conceive and get expert help!

I am also overweight but have a normal/low blood pressure and low cholesterol 3.2 mmol. So am healthy for a fattie!!! I don't tolerate negative comments about my weight well as I have tried everything under the sun, and exercise every day, eat a balanced low GI diet and don't overeat. I have managed to loose 30kgs already with the help of Reductil but the last 30kgs just won't budge!!!

Sorry for the long intro but I believe in sharing with likeminded Sisters.
