Long story short, we lost our baby at 37 1/2 weeks into pregnancy. Sudden pain caused us to go to ER where they discovered no heart beat for baby.
My wife had to go through 12 hours of labor to deliver a still born baby naturally. During this process she lost A LOT OF BLOOD!
For some reason they waited until baby was delivered before they started giving her blood which was froozen!
They discharged her a day or two later although her legs looked like an elephants from being swolen. They said that was normal.. so day 1 at home she couldnt breath when laying down, me being tired from being up 4 days to be by her side and make sure she gets treated I knocked out and didnt wake up that night.
Night 2 after being home, I see her sitting in chair complaining of not being able to breath when she lays down. So I take her back to ER and they discovered she developed a heart condition called Peripardum Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy also known as Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). She was put on 6 or 7 meds and sent home a week later.
Luckily, we were following up with the best doctor that health care system had. The first year, my wife had to go get her fingers poked for a test to make sure her blood is thin enough to pass through her heart. This was done every 2 days!
Finally, the meds were taken away slowly. Echo Cardio grams every 90 days were done for the first 2 years.
But guess what! She fully recovered her heart fuction and has been given the clearance to concieve again!
Thats right! I know sad story but the moral of it is that there is hope! Simply
We been through a lot and did not have time to grieve properly but life goes on.
Hope this inspired someone to try again after miscarriage, because there is nothing more special in life than having a child.
