Question - how long are you usually on BCP for an IVF cycle? My Dr said 10 days but from some of the posts it seems like some of you are on it longer.

Are PIO shots progesterone? Why are they better then suppositories? I have done progesterone supp and they are gross so I guess that is what you meant? this is all new to me.

BTW Forgot to mention that the reason I am considering pre-implantation genetics is b/c of my precious son William who died soon after birth due to a terminal kidney condition. When they did an amnio while I was preg they found a small chromosomal abnormality (a broken piece) which they said may or may not have had anything to do with his condition (apparently some babies have this and are completely normal). So I am going back and forth as to whether to do the testing. The dh and I would have to pay for it ourselves (about 5 grand) but if it can reduce our chances or having a baby with a terminal condition maybe it is worth it... Not sure since they say the chances of it happening again are small..
