I got pregnant really easily, but my first pregnancy was very hard- I was diagnosed with pregnancy-induced OCD, which made life very miserable for almost my entire pregnancy. Thankfully it resolved shortly after giving birth and now I am back to "normal". But because of this, DH was a little reluctant to try again until about 6 months (7 cycles) ago. I am an only child, so it's really important to me that my daughter not be an only.
We got pg in March, but it was a chemical. I had been worried about my cycles being irregular and shorter luteal phases, so I decided to go see an RE.
I had a good antral follicle count at 17, but my FSH in borderline high at 9.86. While I am glad that I know this info, it is still heartbreaking to know that my time is running out.
RE is suggesting that we be somewhat aggressive but is leaving it up to me as to exactly what that means. We will be meeting to discuss things further after DH's SA. We don't have coverage so this is almost all out of pocket, which is HARD!
I am still coping with the idea of diminished fertility. I know it's not a death sentence and that plenty of people still get pg. It just feels like time is not on my side. I am prone to anxiety and not on meds, so I think that might just be getting the best of me.
Thanks for reading...look forward to getting to know all of you.

IF is so hard to deal with and I guess I am so stubborn for a second child for DD that I am still trucking along. We are onto IVF #3 this month and have previously done IUI x 3. Even last night, DD asked for a baby. It is so frustrating. I am also so confused because I am only 36 and we started trying again when I was 33. Once your SA comes back your RE can make better choices about what to do. IUI is the least expensive but they probably won't recommend many cycles of that if your FSH stays elevated. We are out of pocket also and have spent so much over the last few years. However, when I get my BFP it will be worth any price tag. Good luck. We are here for you.
