I totally understand your concern, but Letrozole is perfectly safe to take as long as you are being closely monitored by your doctor. There is no possible way for it to cause birth defects when it is used properly.

I got a BFP on my first round of Letrozole and Metformin, but unfortunately it was a bad chromosomal match-up and we lost the little one. We ended up moving on to injectibles eventually, but I would still choose Letrozole over Clomid any day! Best of luck!!
