I am asking because the lady I went to see showed me how to do it to myself. Just the abdominal area which is where it counts...she wants me to do it every other day. She has a good success rate for infertility so I am that it works.....

I did acupuncture with my first IVF. I can't say if it helped or not but I did get pregnant. The acupuncturist I saw specializes in infertility and has had good success.

After the acupuncture, I usually felt fairly relaxed - I usually dozed off during. I haven't done it on myself though she did give me some pressure points for nausea and stuff. You need to be careful with some of the self-treatment, because some of the treatments which are good for before transfer aren't good afterwards. Your needs change (obviously).

One thing that acupuncture gives you - and don't knock it - is a sense that you're doing something to help make this process work. It's nice to have some control when there's little else you can control.
