The discharged in the days that followed the HSG could very well have been the dye (maybe blood tinged) making its way back out. Other than that, I can't imagine why the procedure would mess with your cycle. Mine was completely normal. Your cycle is ruled by hormones (as you well know) and the procedure wouldn't affect that. Have you called your doctor to talk to him/her about this yet? Perhaps, if an abnormally long cycle is unusual for you, you should put a call in.
