I would request it anyway because from what I've raid it won't hurt you being on it (other than heparin can cause osteoporosis) and it will prevent m/c risks. I know I'm not a lot of help, but I was just diagnosed earlier this week so still learning myself. Good luck and keep us updated!

Hi Kristen- Thank you so much for your post.

I don't know if you remember me, I posted a while back on the Houston study board. I was accepted into the Duramed study but had to decline due to vacation confliction. Getting the diagnosis is overwhelming because so many dr's aren't familiar with it. I agree about my RE. My first set of labs were abnormal but he said it wasn't an issue. I wasn't satisfied w/that and took it upon myself to seek the advice of a specialist who then referred me to someone and I was sent for extensive testing. There's a great website
APS Foundation of America, Inc. ~ Welcome! that's very informative. If you don't mind me asking, how were you diagnosed? Did you test positive for the lupus anticoagulant or anticardiolipins? Thanks again for your post. Please keep me updated as well also as to what you find about APS and I'll do the same.
