want to start a family

My boyfriend and I have been trying for a little over 8 months and I haven't gotten even close. I'm honestly ready and was wondering what can I all try because I have herpes.

Your best bet is to talk with your gynecologist to determine your options. Many women with various illnesses have babies and I'm sure you could carry a baby to term. With herpes, I know that if you are in the middle of an outbreak at the time your baby is due, you may need to have a c-section to avoid the baby passing through the birth canal.

Still, the best decision you could make is to discuss this with your dr so that he or she can tell you exactly what your options are.

I don't know of anything that would prohibit getting pregnant, though it may cause problems for delivery. Does your partner have it too- or are you trying to avoid giving it to him. Cause I could see that causing problems if you had an outbreak when you were ovulating or something....
