How long?

How long should a couple wait before seeking professional help? We ended up waiting a few years- and I know looking back that was probobly a bad idea.

Do you think 6 months of timed intercourse is enough or should they wait a whole year?

I was told and read that you are suppose to wait for 1 year before seeking professional help...

Good luck to you!

I think it all depends on your age. If you and your significant other are in your 20s, then you should wait a year. If you are older than 30, you should see your dr after about six months. For those women older than 35, you might consider seeing your dr after only a few months.

I had a friend in her 20s who was ttc and she started getting upset when it didn't happen right away. I was doing infertility treatments and so, she asked me a lot of questions and we compared notes. She did decide to wait the full year and got pregnant before then.
