Exclamation TTC #1 After Depo-Provera (Also have Endo)

I am new here and is wondering if anyone else here is in my same situation, I am dying for someone to talk to! I was married in April of 06 and went of my depo in march 06, had lots of trouble with no bleeding, then bleeding for several weeks. I think I just had my first real period since coming off depo but with recent history I don't know what will happen! Help!
Oh yeah, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2003 and the only answer for the pain and crazy cycles was depo-provera (which I had experience with before and had no problems coming off). It was amazing at relieving my pain and irregularly close cycles but I am having such a hard time coming off it this time!

I was on depo for 5 years and went off it in 2003 and have not been on any birth control sense. When I went off it I did not bleed for like six months and then I did for about 5 months. I then went to my doctor and he gave a birthcontrol to jump my cycle back on track. It did then I started Clomid and took that for a year..... I feel like the depo has allot to do with my infertility but the doctors tell me no. I do know that it can sometimes take a very long time to get out of your system...

I was on depo from the age of 13 to 18. My mother insisted on putting be on it so i would not get pg. Well turns out i did not need it until 18 when i became active. So for 5 years i was on birth control that i did not need. At 18 i got on the pill and stayed on that for 3 more years. While i was on the shot i only had a cycle when it was time for me to go back and get another shot. Like it was getting out of my system and i was becoming normal, but my cycle would last for a very long time. So i know how you feel. I believe that the depo is the reason for my infertility, although the doc's say other wise. I mean my body was not finished growing and i was altering it with depo. I blame my mother and step father mostly ( he was the one pushing the idea) now for my infertility. Maybe if they would not have tried to prevent something that was not even taking place yet i would be pg by now.
Well sorry so long and thanks for letting me vent.

I was never on depo but I started BCPs when I was 14 because of horrid periods. Now I question them as well. Maybe all those years..... but so far my tests say that I'm fine. Doesn't really make me feel better that it's DH not me and I definitely do question a lot of what happened in the past. I think that's common.

Anyway, welcome aboard. You've come to a great place with lots of warm and friendly women to get you through this!

Wow I can't believe a doctor would even put you on something like that. I have friends who's doctors would not give them depo in there 20's. I am upset with my doctor because he gave it to me at 21. I did not request it he kept pushing it on me and so I gave in. It was not like I had any trouble with pills I was super saftey girl but he was sure this was the right thing for me. He is also the doctor who avoided paps for like 2 years for me and when I gave up on him and got a doc she was shocked that I was on that kind of birth control. She also did a pap right away and thank god she did because she found some cells at stage 3 that I had to have removed

Thanks for the support! I am glad I found this place. We are now using ovulation predictors and hope it will help show when I am ovulating. I use the a family planning method (just started the temp thing on cycle day 10 (temps are all over the place) and it is now day 19 but have been using another method since march) and it hasn't shown me any indication that I have or will be ovulating soon. I feel like I am stuck because of bb tenderness that has already lasted a week and I am really irritable(not sleeping well) and just don't know where my hormones are at this point. Dr wants to just wait and see. Completely frustrated!!!
