Smile My HSG Was Today

Well, my HSG was today. I got there and did the paper work only to be told that my DH could not come back there with me due to the radiation and what not. So that did not sit well with me. Then she explained all the forms to me that I had to sign. I took some pain meds like everyone said and they did not help. It was the most painful thing that I have ever had to endure!! The doctor went step by step of what he was he doing, but the more fluid he put in the more it hurt and more I wanted to cry from the pain. The had issues with the machine that took the pictures, but they got them finally . When asked are they open or closed I was told by Dr. Juarez that "the right side had leakage and that I only need one open tube to get pregnant." When I asked about the left he told me he didn't know and that he had to look at the pictures on his pc to tell and then I was ushered into the waiting room and he left. The doctors assistant came out and gave me a cd to take to my RE on the 14th. So I will see what she has to say.

I just wanted to let you all know what happened today.

I agree that it was one of the most painful things I had to endure but you know what....in the end it was worth it. My HSG was done by my RE so I had results immediately, didn't have to worry about anyone else reading the results and if my RE didn't think he was seeing enough he'd do more but everything went as smooth as silk. I was in so much pain I couldn't pee after the test and couldn't stand up straight to walk. But the pain went away within the hour. DH was allowed back in there with me he just had to wear a lead vest type thing. Keep us posted!

Congrats on making it through your HSG. I hope you get good news once your RE reviews it.

You see I thought that my DH would be able to do that too, but they would not let him back there and that really just stressed me. Then I had a stranger down there and that didnt help either. They had issues with the machine's magnitazer (to make the pics bigger). and I was on the verge of tears through the whole thing, but I just took myself out the picture and left my body on the table and let my mind wonder off somewhere.
