What do you think makes the most difference in fertility: age or genetics?
Or do you think it doesn't matter and there are other more obvious concerns?

Well I've recently learned they can assist with the genetics but once your time clock has run out there is nothing they can do, so I'd have to say age.

but...the way you age has alot to do with genetics. So chicken or the egg.

That is what I was thinking. If you family history shows fertility well into their 40's and 50's than do you really need to worry that much about how much time you have (if there aren't any medical problems that would interfere).
But what if you have a different reaction to aging than the rest of your family? Or are diagnosed with a fertility disorder? *I just thought I would get a discussion going*

Age: 41
From where I sit, here, in my rocker afghan in lap, I'd have to go with age. There is no history of infertility anywhere in my family or DH's family. (Actually we mentioned that to the first "infertility specialist" we went to and his response was "Obviously, otherwise you woudn't be here." We did not see him again, and I couldda decked him!)
