newbie :)
hello everyone
i have been reading some of the posts on here and for the most part im kind of lost lol. ttc dh bfn bfp i have no idea what those stand for. so please bare with me ![]() i am 27 yrs old and my partner is 40. we are hoping that we will b able to use her eggs for me to carry. unfortunately that does not seem like its going to work... at least not with the dr. we are seeing now. we went through one half ivf cycle. he stopped the meds after a week because her eggs werent maturing. he is now refusing to try again, we have tried to explain to him that we only want to try one more time with her and he refuses. hes looking souly at me and my eggs and uterus. mostly because i am younger and have a higher amh level than her. he was beyond rude in telling us that he wouldnt try again with her. we just need some help, support, advice, to vent. we have no idea what to do now he wont even give us another chance ![]() |

Click on the acronyms link and it will help you out with the abreviations (ttc=trying to conceive; DH=dear husband; BFN=big fat negative; BFP=big fat positive)
It sounds like your RE is thinking purely medically and not emotionally at all. From his point of view, using your eggs has a better chance of success and that is the main goal. It seems like your options are to either take your RE's advice and use your eggs or find another RE who will try it your way. Good luck.

They are lots of RE's out there. You do not need to stick with the RE you are using if you are not happy with the results or opinions you are getting. Have your OBGYN suggest someone else. They may be more open to what you are trying to do. It is worth a shot.
