The thing that really kills me is when someone says, "Now it's your turn to have a baby." Both of my sister-in-laws are in their 40s and had their only children (they both only wanted one) in their late 30's. They got pregnant the first cycle they tried, one didn't have a single glitch in her pregnancy. The other miscarried the first pregnancy early, then got pregnant the very next cycle and carried it to term. It seems so unfair that people can wait until it's convenient for them to get pregnant and have no trouble, and those of us who start early have so many problems! Ugh!

At 30 I still get a "u have plenty of time..whats the hurry" every once in a while.Its suppose to b a sympathetic comment but its not.Another one is "I'll give u my baby"..no thanx! I dont need charity as of now.I guess they r being nice but actually they dont help since they have not been thro IF.Honestly,the only understanding comments and support I've received so far is from people in this forum.They know ,they feel and they understand.Cheers to us!!!

My favorite - which I just got today. "It will happen when you least expect it, when you let nature take over" - This bothers me so much. Like I am just completely supposed to forget that I want to have children. and then suddenly I will be blessed. Unfortunately, I tell them that is not how it works!!!! and do they really think their comments make us feel better.

I think i've heard it all... from "you need to go on vacation" to "you're still young" to "try standing on your head" . The worst is when people know we've been married for 5 years and say things like "so isn't about time for kids?" Really, I'd like to slap them.

The only real support I have comes from my husband. He's the only one that will listen and knows when to just let me cry. I feel like everyone else is walking on eggshells around me. Like i'm a ticking time bomb or something. it makes me want to scream.

I've been hearing you are still young when i first started TTc close to 5 years ago, now it's has change to when are you going to get pregnent or do you want one of your brother's children, this is being said by my family, my mother right in their too, and you ladies taught you have heard it all!!!

I'll be 21 on the 29th of this month and we are TTC #2. We have been married for almost 4 years and together for 5years.. He will be 25 in August.

We are both pretty old fashioned, which was why we married young. We both wanted a big family which is why we are TTC. We both have good jobs and insurance --... It reallys burns my a** to hear people say "Whats the rush you've got plenty of time!?"

I almost feel like, when people say that... like they are laughing at me cause tehy think I am too young to be trying. I am only 23, however my mother was 24 and had two kids! I will be lucky if I am pregnant when I am 24!!!!

I have always had so many dreams of having six or seven children (I come from a family of nine), but now I think if I even get one I will be estatic! Infertility never was an issue for anyone in my family, so no one can understand what I am going through... my sister actually just had a baby May 23rd, adn tehy weren't even trying!!!!

I completely understand!!! I think what I I hate the most is when you are talking to someone about going through fertility and they make the comment
Well I knew so-in-so and they tried for 2 years and went through all of that fertility mess and when they finally decided to stop trying or when they finally adopted they got pregnant naturally."
Followed by the most ridiculous laugh ever because they actually find the story funny. I on the other hand find the story horrifying as if I should just stop trying because it is not going to work anyway... I want to just yell and say thanks for the support!!

HELLO?!?! Can we please leave God out of this! I mean do this ppl really think in some twisted way God is punishing me for something? I mean really ... If that is the case why does God bless crack heads with healthy childern? R all of those babies that are left behind in dumpsters? Does God think I would be a terrible mother? That is the one thing that REALLY tears my nerves up!
Then there are ppl who flip when they find out I'm 25 and on fertility drugs of course I get a lot of the relax and it will happen...try a pillow under your butt, blah blah blah!
Support is the main reason I have joined the forum world..goodness know I need somewhere to turn (and vent sometimes) Another person that has helped me on down days is my cousin who is getting married and Feb and bless her heart I think I've got her worried about her being able to get PG.....My husband doesn't understand some days I feel like I'm letting him down as he really wants a baby.

That is absolutely how I feel EVERYTIME I Hear one of those stories!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know how you all feel i get it almost every day from both family, friends and work mates who know all about our issue dont they get that it hurts so much when someone brings it up...just yesterday my sister inlaw had a little girl (i'm so happy for her) and the first thing that i hear when we walked in the hospital room door was ''it must be their turn next''(meaning me and my partner) i felt like going over there and slapping them out but i held myself together and got through it...then i come in to work and my boss comes over and brings it up and tells me ''not to worry it will happen one day you just have to wait. It happen when i lest expect it''.,.she just thinks that she know what im going through because she had problems holding her 2nd baby and had a few miscarrages..yes i know that would have been hard too but at least she knew she could get preg's...i just wish she would leave me alone i dont want to hear it...

Sorry that prob boring and hasn't got mush to do with the subject but i need to get it all off my chest....

my MIL said to DH and I, "well it took your sister (my SIL) 2 years of trying the natural way so you guys will get there when the times right. You havent yet been trying that long."
EXCUSE ME!!!!! She said this last month before we started our real indepth part of the IVF. Needless to say she doesnt show much interest in our situation, which is fine by me. I dont want someone around me who is going to have that kind of attitude.

That's why I haven't even told my family that I have been TTC. It's tough not telling them and confiding in them how frustrating it is...but it would be SOOO much more frustrating hearing all of those comments! I just know how my family is... everyday it would be,

"How are you feeling?"
"Are you pregnant yet?"
"How about now?"
"Are you sure you're doing it right?"

Luckily I have a very supportive DH who lets me gripe and complain!
