Hello all you 20-somethings! SOOO glad to see I'm not alone... And yet so disturbed. What's the deal?! We're young, suposedly healthy... why is this so hard for us when we're actually trying... I have girlfriends who aren't even married getting knocked up accidentally... I wish this whole getting pregnant thing was an exact science.

Anywho,

Hi. My name's Shelly... and I'm infertile. (Sorry, felt like an AA moment. )
I am 23 and my husband is 25.
We have been married for three years and together for six.
We have been trying for two and a half years, the first year without RE assistance.
We're outdoorsy sort of folk... so we feel pretty stifled living here in the city... haha. I'm a teacher and my husband is a telecommunications technician so we enjoy our evenings as calmly as possible. 80)
I was born in New Hampshire, raised in Massachusetts, moved to Maine and met and fell in love with my born-and-raised-Mainah... and we moved back to MA so I could finish my degree and get fertility treatments covered through insurance.
I LOVE LOST, Gray's Anatomy, House, and Dancing with the stars... because I wish I could dance like that.
My favorite author is Lois Lowry... author of The Giver.
My favorite vacation was the one we just took to Puerto Rico in July... it was fantastic.
We are currently embarking on our first IVF cycle... third shot of Lupron tonight... and just got out PIO needles in the mail... HOLY CR*P, these things are HUGE!!!!

Anyways... it's nice to "meet" all of you! GO BFPs!!

What do you all do to stay relaxed and not lose your minds over fertility issues?? Sometimes I find I just focus on the problems and I have to make myself quit thinking about it, and tell myself to calm down....it will all work out.
You???

Hello everyone - I'm new to this forum as of 12/26/07.

1. How old are you - 27

2. How long have you been married or with your significant other? Our 2 year anniversary is 12/30/07. We've been together since 2001.

3. How long have you been trying? 9 months.

4. What are your hobbies? Going to movies and reading.

5. Where are you from? All over! Born in Portsmouth, VA, raised in Grand Rapids, MI currently living in Spokane, WA.

6. What is your favorite show on TV? The Office, CSI (Vegas) and Bones

7. Do you have a favorite book or author? Definitely Jennifer Weiner.

8. What was your favorite vacation? Hard to pick - Either Disney World or Yellowstone.

9. Where are you in your ttc journey? Really we're kind of "just starting". 9 months seems like a long time but I guess it's really not. We are going to begin charting BBT and fluid at start of next cycle using FAM.

I was so happy to stumble upon this site. It's nice to have a place to go to read, listen, learn and seek understanding!

1. How old are you - 25

2. How long have you been married or with your significant other? Married 7/12/02 and together since 03/97

3. How long have you been trying? No BCP for 3 years but actively trying for the last year and a half.

4. Where are you from? Fort Myers, FL

5. What is your favorite show on TV? I watch some reality shows here and there.

6. Do you have a favorite book or author? Not a favorite. I read anything I get my hands on.

7. What was your favorite vacation? Unfair Question!! Probably the summer in Africa or diving in the Caymans.

8. Where are you in your ttc journey? We've been off BCP for so long and are young so we went to the Dr. in August and went thru all of the preliminary tests to find out what the deal is. My husband had a VERY poor SA 3 times in a row and I checked out fine so we are going straight to IVF/ICSI. We are scheduled for the March 08 cycle.

Glad I found this site...I've never been one real big on message boards but there aren't too many people to talk to about these issues.

Good Luck to Everyone!!!
